The Reverend Atula Jamir
Minister
Atula Jamir finds deep joy in living out her faith alongside people in the midst of life’s complex realities. Atula has served as Senior Minister of Calvary Baptist Church since 2010. She feels humbled and blessed to be welcomed into people’s personal lives—to love and care, to learn from each other, grow in faith together, and journey together through challenges. She finds strength and meaning in being present to others, leaning on the power of the Spirit.
Atula holds a PhD from Boston University School of Theology, Master of Sacred Theology (STM) from Yale Divinity School, and Master of Theology (MTh) from United Theological College in Bangalore, India. Atula previously taught at the Discipleship Bible College in India. She has also served as a research assistant at the Ministry Resource Center at YDS, and for the International Bulletin of Missionary Research (IBMR) at the Overseas Ministries Study Center in New Haven, CT currently located at Princeton Theological Seminary.
Her spiritual practice includes tending and engaging with plants, experiencing awe in God’s flourishing creation. She enjoys floral arrangements and loves playing table tennis. Her adorable toy poodle teaches her the simple joy of loving and living.
Nicole Hayek
Office Manager
Nicole graduated from UMass Lowell in 2019 with a degree in Business Administration, concentrating in marketing and management. She is the face behind Calvary’s graphic design and newsletter and loves everything creative. Music is a passion of hers; she won NH Idol in 2018. Although her Catholic faith is an integral part of her life, Nicole believes that love, Jesus, and respecting each other’s differences are what unite us all. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, baking, and cooking.
Virginia Corcoran
Organist
Ginny has been an organist and choir director for over 35 years. She is currently a music teacher in Lowell Public Schools. She was baptized by Victor Scalise at Calvary Baptist Church Lowell in 1965. Her professional background includes an Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies, a Masters in Curriculum and Education, and previous employment at area law firms.
The Reverend Mangyang Imsong
Director, TeensAlive Ministry
Mangyang Imsong is the founder and director of TeensAlive ministry at Calvary Baptist Church, a ministry for preteens and teens, providing holistic guidance to young people in their adolescent transitional period. Mangyang received both his Doctor of Ministry and Master of Sacred Theology from Andover Newton Theological School; a Master of Theology from United Theological College in Bangalore, India, majoring in pastoral care and counseling; and a BA in Education. He is ordained through The American Baptist Churches of Massachusetts (ABCUSA). During the week, he works as a spiritual counselor at Care Dimensions Hospice and Palliative Services, and on the weekend, he is fully engaged in TeensAlive programs and Sunday School at the church. His previous positions include dean of The Discipleship Bible College, counselor at the Drugs and Alcohol Rehabilitation Center, and lecturer in India. He loves nature, gardening, listening to music of various genres, reading, and playing soccer.
