Join us on Monday, September 20, 2010 6:00pm for an opportunity to meet with John and Debbie Coats, who will be returning to Cambodia soon. hey will share with us their past experiences in Cambodia and discuss their plans for the future. This will be a pot-luck dinner. Bring a main dish or dessert (enough to share with 6). Beverages will be provided. There will be a free will offering in support of the Coats.

During the Month of August, Evelyn Makiej, our Missions Deacon, has chosen to support Local Heroes, an organization in Wilmington that continues to collect items to send to our Armed Forces. Items they need are many, to name a few: Postage money, Peanut Butter, Jelly (no glass) Twizzlers, Sunflower Seeds, Powdered Drink Mix, Package Tuna, Lip Balm, Sunscreen, Hand Sanitizer, Socks, Playing Cards etc ( there is a complete list on the Missions Bulletin Board and there is a bin in the entry way for these items). The Penny Project jar is on the table at the back of the church. Please continue to drop your pennies and loose change. The Penny Project (ABCUSA) seeks to raise awareness of the extent of child poverty throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, and support for programs and ministries responding to the needs of children in poverty. Only a few more weeks until this project ends—Labor Day.
